CFMDC's Distribution Services

CFMDC is artist-driven and dedicates itself to distributing films which operate not simply outside of the mainstream, but which are innovative and diverse in their origins and expressions.

Annually, films from CFMDC collection are previewed over 5,500 times, 800 films are rented to over 150 international festivals and exhibition venues and over 150 titles are sold to broadcasters and educational institutuions.

CFMDC staff specialize in areas such as broadcast and educational sales, experimental, gay and lesbian and cultural programming, as well as gallery installation. We regularly organize touring and curated programs from our collection for festivals and events around the world.

CFMDC ensures it maintains a prominent presence at key festivals and industry conferences as an integral part of our marketing strategy. This allows us to keep on top of issues, make contacts, secure deals and get your films out there.

Other important ways we increase distribution and visibility for your films are through our on-line catalogue, targeted mailings for new titles, and specialized marketing materials directed at clients, both established and potential. You'll also see us hosting premieres and sponsoring screening programs, exhibition projects, festivals and events locally, nationally and internationally.

Notable CFMDC clients include: Festival du Nouveau Cinema, Montreal; Berlinale; Frameline, San Francisco LGBT Film Festival; Tate Modern Gallery, London UK; Museum of Modern Art, New York; International Film Festival Rotterdam; International Short Film Festival Oberhausen; and Images Festival, Toronto.
